This was the third time the Iron Mule Squadron has taken the trophy in a row.
As usual the whole team has pitch in to getting us into the finals. The IMS voted how we should set up the team for the championship. The popular vote was to send in the top aces. Setting the top aces creates tension and conflicts, for we have so many great pilots.
IMS_SpreadEagle, IMS_Moller, IMS_Blizard & IMS_Wolfman took on the competition in the finals. We played against the GG's and moved on to take on the VMF215. Now comes the real battle against the 54th Screaming Devils. Their team consisted of: 54th_Target, 54th_Crash, 54th_Cattail & 54th_Lucky.
These guys put on a show of guts. First game IMS won 15-8. The second game got intense and the 54th won that one 15-14. The third game IMS came back with a win of 15-11. Fourth game IMS won 15-11. The fifth game the 54th came back STRONG they whooped us 15-6 (ouch). The sixth game the IMS won for the final win of the match.
I would like to commend the 54th on an outstanding fight. Every point had to be hard earned no easy kills here at all. These guys have what it will take to win in the future.
I would also like to commend the WEC_Admin for an outstanding job on running the WEC competitions creating fun for all what wish to enter.
